How To Apply


Submitting an application to Westminster is easy. Chose one of our four application types and then send us your transcripts. That’s it! We will be able to provide an admission decision in days, not weeks or months.

Optional

  • SAT/ACT test scores – Westminster is a test-optional* school. You are welcome to submit test scores, but they are not required.
  • Recommendations – Letters of recommendation are also optional. Of course, we would love to hear from your recommenders, but no need to worry about getting letters of recommendation if you don’t already have them.

Admission Plans


Early Decision

If Westminster is your first choice, apply Early Decision for a stress-free senior year. Benefits include:

  • Priority consideration for merit-based scholarships
  • Priority housing and roommate selection
  • Early class schedule planning
  • Eligible for $2,000 Early Application Grant
  • Application deadline: November 15
  • $200 enrollment deposit due by January 15

Note: Early Decision is binding. If accepted, you must attend Westminster and withdraw other college applications.

Early Action

Apply Early Action if you want an early application response but need more time to decide.

  • Priority consideration for merit-based scholarships
  • Nonbinding decision - no immediate commitment required
  • Early application review and response
  • Eligible for $2,000 Early Application Grant
  • Application deadline: November 15
  • $200 enrollment Deposit due by May 1

Rolling Admission

Apply Rolling Admissions if you are completing your application after December 1.

  • Application reviewed upon receipt of all materials
  • Prompt notification of admission decision
  • $200 enrollment deposit due by May 1
  • Applications after March 1st considered based on class space availability

 

FAFSA Application


You will be considered for merit-based scholarships as your admissions application is reviewed. For additional financial aid consideration, it is to your advantage to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) as early as possible.

 

ACT, SAT and Test-Optional Information


Westminster College is a test-optional* institution.

If you choose to submit test scores, you should be prepared to submit the test name, the test date, and the total/composite score and the primary score components for the following: The EBRW and Math Section scores for the SAT, and the English, Math, Reading and Science Reasoning scores for the ACT.

Westminster College accepts unofficial scores submitted by your high school (usually found on your official high school transcript). We also accept unofficial scores submitted by you, such as a picture or screenshot of your student page for College Board or ACT that shows your score.

* Please note that while Westminster College does not require ACT/SAT scores for admission, our partner institutions for the following advanced degree programs do require test scores for admission:

  • 3-4 Dental Program (B.S. + D.M.D.) with Case Western Reserve University
  • 4+4 Dental Program (B.S. + D.M.D.) with Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (if applying as a high school student)
  • 4+4 Medical School Program (B.S. + D.O.) with Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine
  • 4+4 Medical School Program (B.S. + D.O.) with Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, (if applying as a high school student)
