Westminster College Professor Shows Art in Two Exhibits

Westminster College’s Foster Art Gallery and the Lakeland Community College Gallery in Kirtland, Ohio will feature the works of Peggy Cox, professor of art at Westminster College, this month.

On display at Westminster College is Cox’s solo exhibit entitled “Standing in Place, Recent Landscapes.” This exhibit consists of over 20 oils and watercolors completed over the course of four years, including a sabbatical project. Cox’s artwork is open to the public and runs through Oct. 14.

The Foster Art Gallery is open from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., Mon. – Fri.

The exhibit at Lakeland Community College is through The Textile Art Alliance, an affiliate group of artists with the Cleveland Museum. The group’s mission is to promote the awareness of textile arts. On display is a selection of her textile related Icelandic Journal collages.

The Lakeland Community College exhibit is open to the public and runs through Sept. 9.
