Campus Architecture

I’m amazed by time. It can move but also stand still. When I arrive to campus every morning, I feel a new appreciation and understanding for the eloquence and history that time has presented to me – for us. Since its founding in 1852, so much time has passed. With that time, the economy, social climate, and technology of Westminster has changed, but the architectural elegance and sophistication of the buildings, campus, and surrounding community remains beautifully sustained. As I walk passed Old Main’s prominent Gothic exterior or by McKelvey Campus Center’s window laden view of Brittain Lake, or when I think about the soon-to-be-constructed Tiny House, I can’t help but stand in awe and appreciation for what was, what is, and what is yet to be built.
