Westminster College to Host New Art Gallery Exhibit

Westminster College’s Foster Art Gallery will host Drawn, an art exhibition of contemporary mixed media drawing by Nancy Raen-Mendez from Oct. 24-Dec. 9. The exhibition is free and open to the public.

The Foster Art Gallery is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Raen-Mendez is an interdisciplinary artist based in Evansville, Indiana where she teaches at the University of Southern Indiana. Raen-Mendez uses a range of materials and processes, from charcoal, graphite and ink to stitching and cutting into the paper.

“The gallery acts as a reference for students in the fine art courses who are learning about composition, technique and how to communicate visually,” said Summer Zickefoose, professor of art.
