Westminster College School of Music presents "A Celebration of Our Seniors," the final major concert of the season featuring performances from the Westminster College Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band. The concert is Friday, May 5 beginning at 7:30 p.m. in Will W. Orr Auditorium.

"This concert has become a very special event for the school of music and especially the seniors," said Dr. R. Tad Greig, professor of music and director of instrumental activities. "A majority of these musicians started their college careers performing with one of the bands, and it is a fitting way to conclude their undergraduate careers performing one last time with the bands."

Guest faculty soloists for the evening include Dr. Nancy DeSalvo on piano, performing Edward Gregson's  "Piano Concerto (Homages)"; Dr. Timothy Winfield on trumpet; and Mr. Kevin McManus on trombone in Joseph Turrin's "Fandango".

Under the direction of Dr. Greig, the bands will also perform works by Gustav Holst, Ralph Vaughan Williams, Igor Stravinsky, John Williams and more. Admission is free and open to all.
