Members of the Westminster College Concert Choir are embarking on an international tour, with planned performances in various venues across Scotland through Monday, May 20.

Twenty-six students, accompanied by three faculty members, depart on Tuesday, May 14, for a 10-day travel course filled with performances and culture enrichment.

The choir will perform in Glasgow on Thursday, May 16; at a church service in St. Andrews on Sunday, May 19; at an evening concert in Dunblane Cathedral, Dunblane, on Sunday, May 19; and at St. Giles Cathedral, Edinburgh, on Monday, May 20.

Aside from performing, the group will travel to Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, tour Stirling and Edinburgh castles and visit Edinburgh, Stirling, Crieff, St. Andrews and Glasgow.

“A tour like this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to explore another country and culture and to make music together in spectacular European cathedrals. These types of travel opportunities are incredibly important to the student experience,” said Dr. Ryan Keeling, director of choral activities and assistant professor of music.

The group will return on May 23.

The Westminster College Concert Choir is open to all students by choral placement hearing and is the flagship touring ensemble representing the College on national and international stages through their annual concert tour.
