Following a nationwide search, Lana Whitehead has been named vice president for enrollment management at Westminster College, effective Aug. 14.

Whitehead has served as a strategic enrollment management professional for the past 15 years, most recently serving as assistant vice president for lifelong learning at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio, where she also was interim associate vice president for enrollment management, director of enrollment management strategic initiatives, assistant dean of graduate studies and director of graduate admissions.

Her broad experience in student recruitment and her deep commitment to student success will position her well to build upon the strengths of the College’s enrollment management systems now and into the future,” said Westminster College President Dr. Kathy Brittain Richardson.

As vice president for enrollment management, Whitehead, who will report to President Richardson, will lead Westminster’s admissions and financial aid teams.

Prior to her experience at Kent State University, Whitehead served various positions in Hiram College’s Professional and Graduate Studies, first as program counselor, then as director of student support services, and subsequently director of enrollment and student support services. She also worked as a coordinator and academic intervention specialist at Youngstown State University.  Before her career in higher education, Whitehead spent 20 years as a business consultant and business systems analyst.

Whitehead holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Social Policy from Northwestern University and a Master of Science degree in Student Affairs Leadership and Practice from Youngstown State University. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education degree in Interprofessional Leadership at Kent State University.
