Students interested in fast-tracking their way to a career or an MBA can enroll in the Westminster College School of Business’ new Degree in Three Program.

The accelerated program—for students majoring in accounting, business administration, finance, international business, human resource management, marketing & professional sales or sports management—delivers a full, high-quality Westminster college experience in just three years.

Students will still graduate with at least 125 credits, and several courses—mainly electives—will be converted to two-credit and one-credit classes, allowing students to take up to 19 credits per semester.

By earning a bachelor’s degree in only three years, students can knock off a year’s tuition, housing and other college-related expenses, reducing their overall student debt and making a college education more affordable.

“Graduating in three years allows students to save on tuition and start earning sooner,” said School of Business Chair Dr. Robert Badowski, adding that by eliminating the fourth year of college costs and earning an average starting salary of $65,000, students could see a net gain in their first year of employment.

If students are interested in earning an MBA, they can also consider the 3+1 MBA option at Westminster. After receiving their undergraduate degree in three years, students would remain on campus for a fourth year and pursue their master’s.

Badowski said the 3+1 MBA route is an attractive option for student-athletes who wish to take advantage of their fourth-year eligibility in their sport.

Students who complete their bachelor’s degree in three years with a GPA of 3.0 or more will be guaranteed acceptance into the MBA Program.
