Westminster College Hires Nine Full-Time Faculty Members

Nine new full-time faculty members have been hired at Westminster College. They are:

Mark J. Ashe, visiting instructor in the Department of Economics and Business, earned his undergraduate degree from James Madison University, and his master's from Binghamton University. He comes to Westminster from Ithaca (N.Y.) High School, where he taught 12th grade honors students the principles of macro and microeconomics. Dr. Jeffrey T. Bersett, assistant professor of Spanish, earned his undergraduate degree from Washington University, and his master's and Ph.D. from the University of Virginia. Colleen Burke Deisler, visiting instructor in the Department of Communication Studies, Theatre and Art, earned her undergraduate and master's degrees from Duquesne University. She previously taught courses such as public speaking, interpersonal communications and history of communication at Duquesne. Dr. David W. Goldberg, visiting assistant professor in the department of Religion, History, Philosophy, and Classics, earned his undergraduate and master's degrees from Pennsylvania State University, and his Ph.D. from Duquesne University. He was previously taught as an assistant professor of philosophy at Hiram College and the University of Hawaii at Hilo. Goldberg can be reached at (724) 946-7153 or e-mail goldbedw@westminster.edu.

Dr. Patrick D. Krantz, assistant professor of education, earned his undergraduate degree from West Virginia University, his master's from Northwest Missouri State University, and his Ph.D. from the University of Missouri, Columbia. Dr. Kirk M. Lunnen, assistant professor of psychology, earned his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University, his master's and Ph.D. from Ohio University. He previously taught at Whitworth College and Ohio University. He can be reached at (724) 946-7356 or e-mail lunnenkm@westminster.edu.

Jennifer Martin, visiting lecturer in the Department of Modern Languages, earned her undergraduate and master's degrees from West Virginia University. Dr. M. Eileen Morelli, associate professor of education, earned her under graduate degree from Youngstown State University, her master's from Valparaiso University, and her Ed.D. from the University of Pittsburgh.
