Westminster College employees were recognized for over 819 years of service during the annual employee recognition luncheon May 7 in Russell Dining Hall.

"The event was attended by a capacity crowd - 240 people - to honor 43 employees," said Kim Christofferson, director of human resources.  "Maybe next year we'll  move it to the Witherspoon Room of our new Andrew J. McKelvey Campus Center.  It will seat 300."

Retiring from Westminster are: Elaine J. Bean, executive secretary to the president and the Board of Trustees; Dr. David B. Gray, professor of psychology; Dr. Clarence E. Harms, professor of biology; Dr. Nancy A. Macky, associate professor of English; and Virginia McGary, administrative assistant for Sodexho Dining Service.

Other honorees were:

35 years of service - Dr. Jacob Erhardt, professor of German, and Dr. Warren Hickman, professor of mathematics.

30 years of service - Chester R. Fobes, custodian; Kathy Koop, professor of art; Ferne Layton, head baker for Sodexho Dining Service; and Dr. James Perkins, professor of English and public relations.

25 years of service - Roberta Flynn, salad preparation for Sodexho Dining Service; Dr. Phyllis G. Kitzerow, professor of sociology; Robert A. Latta, director of financial aid; Jackie Meade, director of the Career Center; Ronald J. Pennington, custodial supervisor; Dr. Grover Pitman, professor of music; and D. Scott Renninger, associate professor of physical education.

20 years of service - Donald P. Howard, supervisor, bulk mail/duplicating; Gail L. Miller, professor of business; Helen Redmond, cook for Sodexho Dining Service; Carol Shibler, administrative assistant for Sodexho Dinig Service; Dr. Sandra K. Webster, professor of psychology; and Gerald E. Yeager, snack bar cook for the Sodexho Dining Service.

15 years of service - Charles A. Chirozzi, chief engineer for television and radio stations; Dr. Neal A. Edman, dean of students; T. Lynn Fox, microcomputer lab manager; Camille Hawthorne, associate dean of student affairs; Daniel G. Hockenberry, painter; Kathleen A. Proctor, secretary for the Department of Economics and Business, and Lifelong Learning and Continuing Education.

10 years of service - Kay L. Allison, secretary at McGill Library; Judith Duda, director of the Student Health Center; Pearl A. Eaton, custodian; Dr. Charlene Klassen Endrizzi, associate professor of education; Robert E. Fox, groundskeeper; Dr. Martha R. Joseph, assistant professor of chemistry; Dr. Nancy A. Macky, associate professor of English; Connie L. McGinnis, assistant director of the Celebrity Series; Patricia G. Morris, Perkins Loans Coordinator; Dr. Kristin Park, associate professor of sociology; Tammy L. Swearingen, assistant professor of physical education and assistant athletic director; Bradley P.
