Founded in 1852 and related to the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), Westminster College is ranked in the top ten in the country in graduation rate performance, according to U.S. News & World Report, and is the most affordable national liberal arts college in Pennsylvania.  Westminster is also recognized by Yahoo! Internet Life as "one of America's Most Wired Colleges" and by the Templeton Guide as a "Character Building College."

Over 1,600 students benefit from individualized attention from dedicated faculty, while choosing from 39 majors and nearly 100 organizations on the New Wilmington, Pa. campus.

Cultural Impact
· Celebrity Series brings a variety of nationally known entertainers to the community
· The Westminster Fourth of July celebration attracts more than 7,000 spectators annually
· Westminster offers 20 college sports, including the home football games of the six-time National Champion Westminster Titans
· Lectures and concerts are offered free to the public
· Westminster facilities are used by the community throughout the year
· Westminster College Art Gallery presents national as well as local artists
· Both J.S. Mack Science Library and the McGill Memorial Library, which features a community bookshelf and a children's collection, are open to the community
