Organist to Give Recital

Dr. Elizabeth Harrison, assistant professor of music at Westminster College, will give a Lenten organ concert Tuesday, March 20, at 7:30 p.m. at Orr Auditorium.

"I'm playing a program focusing on pieces appropriate for Lent," Harrison said.

The program includes: Praeludium in g minor, Bux WV148 by Dietrich Buxtehude; Prelude and Fugue in C, BWV 525 by Johann Sebastian Bach; Trio in C, Fantasia a gusto italienne, and Fugue in A Major all by Johann Krebs; Sonata III in A Major by Felix Mendelssohn; and L'Homme arme Organ Mass by Margaret Sandresky.

Harrison, who has been with Westminster College since 2000, earned her undergraduate degree from Duke University, her master's degrees from Southern College and New England Conservatory, and her D.M.A. from Stanford University.
