Westminster College senior mathematics majors presented posters of their capstone research May 9 in the Carlson Atrium of the McKelvey Campus Center.
Bryan Bischof presented "Three Automorphism Groups: Geometric Interpretations of PG(2,2), PG(2,3), and PG(2,4)." Bischof, a mathematics major, is a son of Steve Salvatora of Gibsonia and Diana Salvatora of New Kensington and a graduate of Valley High School.
Ryan Brolley presented "Mathematical Model for Evacuation of Residents from Bay County, Florida, in Flooding Situations." Brolley, a mathematics major, is a son of Timothy and Lynne Brolley of Butler and a graduate of Knoch High School.
John Cochran presented "Poisoning Baseball: How Realistic was Major League Baseball's Steroids Era?" Cochran, a mathematics major, is a son of James and Catherine Cochran of Pulaski and a graduate of Wilmington Area High School.
Anthony Colwell presented "It's Hip to be Square." Colwell, a mathematics and philosophy major, is a son of David Colwell of North Huntingdon and Antonette Colwell of Pittsburgh and a graduate of Central Catholic High School.
Benjamin Jarrett presented "Analysis of Randomness on Deal or No Deal." Jarrett, a mathematics major, is a son of Kenneth and Therese Jarrett of Harmony and a graduate of Slippery Rock Area High School.
Andrew Polack presented "Polarity: Modeling Dexterity and Physics." Polack, a computer science and mathematics major, is a son of Samuel and Barbara Polack of Abingdon, Md., and a graduate of Edgewood High School.
Jared Ronan presented "Powerball lottery: Analysis and Modifications." Ronan, a mathematics major, is a son of Thomas and Barbara Ronan of New Castle and a graduate of New Castle High School.
