Religion Professor Presented at Princeton Theological Seminary

Posted on Tuesday, April 26, 2011

Dr. Kang-Yup Na, Westminster College associate professor of religion, gave an invited lecture at Princeton Theological Seminary March 26 as part of the seminary's celebration of the quadricentennial of the King James Version of the Bible.

Na's lecture, "What the Bible Is and Is Not," was part of a unique program that addressed the question "What hath King James wrought?" and was delivered in Korean and English.

The program brought together seminary faculty, church leaders, congregational members, and others to explore how the King James Version-also known as the Authorized Version-has influenced language, literature, culture, and faith for 400 years.

Na, who has been with Westminster since 1998, earned an undergraduate degree from Princeton University, M.Div. from Princeton Theological Seminary, and Ph.D. from Emory University.
