Westminster College will celebrate Homecoming with a variety of activities Oct. 10-12.
The annual Homecoming parade will take place Saturday at 10:30 a.m. on Market Street. This year's parade theme is National Days/Holidays. Among the participants are the Westminster Titan Marching Band; the Wilmington Area High School marching band; campus organizations' floats; Homecoming king and queen candidates; and local Scout troops, community groups and businesses. Entries will be judged by the Westminster Class of 1964.
Other public events on the schedule include: a worship service in Wallace Memorial Chapel, led by the Class of 1964; Faculty Fair, an opportunity for casual conversation with faculty in McGill Library; dedication of the Victory Bell at the Field House portico; presentation of the Homecoming court prior to the Westminster Titans vs. Thiel Tomcats football game; an alumni jazz concert in Berlin Student Lounge; and meditation walks at the Sandy Edmiston Memorial Labyrinth at the Field Station.
Westminster's planetarium will host a screening of "Black Holes" Friday, Oct. 10, at 8 p.m. followed by rooftop stargazing, weather permitting.
