"An Afternoon of Chamber Music" is scheduled Sunday, Oct. 26, at 3 p.m. in Wallace Memorial Chapel.

Instrumentalists from the Westminster's Brass Quintet, Woodwind Quintet, Flute Choir, String Ensemble, and Brass Ensemble will play a variety of styles from different time periods.

"The Chamber Music Program at Westminster is vital to the development of our musicians," said R. Tad Greig, director of bands at Westminster College. "It opens the students' minds and skills to over 400 years of music, and it develops the confidence through the independence of parts within each group. Skills developed within groups such as these help make our larger ensembles even better."

The concert is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Greig at (724) 946-7279 or e-mail greigrt@westminster.edu.
