Westminster College will open its doors to the public for the annual Christmas Celebration Worship Service at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, in the Will W. Orr Auditorium on the College’s campus.
The service will include traditional Christmas music performed by a variety of vocal and instrumental ensembles; the lighting of the Advent candles; Scripture readings by senior liturgists; and “Let’s Go…to Bethlehem,” the message from Westminster College Chaplain the Rev. James Mohr II.
Music will be provided by the Westminster College Concert Choir and Chamber Singers, both under the direction of Dr. Ryan Keeling, director of choral activities and assistant professor of music; the Wind Ensemble, conducted by Aaron Himes, director of bands and instructor of music; and the Market Street Brass Quintet. Also participating in the service will be the Rev. Beth Creekpaum, campus ministry fellow, and the Rev. John B. Gizler III, senior parochial vicar of Holy Spirit Parish of Lawrence County.
A voluntary offering will be collected during the service to support campus ministry work trips and conferences.
