Poet Jeredith Merrin will read and discuss her poetry at the Bleasby Colloquium Thursday, April 6, at 7 p.m. in the Sabastian Mueller Theater located in the McKelvey Campus Center.
Merrin is the author of two collections of poetry, "Shift," released in 1996, and "Bat Ode" released in 2001, from the University of Chicago Press Phoenix Poets Series. She has also published a book of criticism, "Marianne Moore, Elizabeth Bishop and the Uses of Tradition," and a number of essays and reviews appear in publications such as "The Southern Review." She is currently writing two more books "Mon Age," a new collection of poetry, and "Of Two Minds," a collection of essays on poets and poetry.

This colloquium is the fifth in a series of events scheduled for the George Bleasby Colloquia, a series of literary events in honor of Dr. Bleasby, who chaired the Department of English at Westminster from 1954-75.
