The Westminster College Wind Ensemble will present its winter concert, “Old World, New World,” at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 21, in the Will W. Orr Auditorium on the College’s campus.

Under the direction of Aaron Himes, director of bands, coordinator of music education and instructor of music, the Wind Ensemble will perform five selections throughout the concert including “Festivo” by Edward Gregson, Gustav Holst’s First Suite in E-flat, American Hymnsong Suite by Dwayne Milburn, “Under Western Skies” by Kevin McKee and Variations on “America” by Charles Ives.

“Under Western Skies” will feature trumpet soloists JaKobe Henry, assistant professor of music at Westminster, and Timothy Winfield, former Westminster music professor and current principal trumpet with the Butler Symphony Orchestra.
