Westminster College Celebrity Series will celebrate the Tony Bennett Songbook with Chris Mann’s “Bennett: From Gershwin to Gaga,” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 29, in the Will W. Orr Auditorium on the Westminster College campus.

The evening will highlight the extensive catalog of Bennett classics sung by Mann, a world-renowned singer-songwriter of NBC’s “The Voice” and “Phantom of the Opera” fame. The audience will experience an unforgettable evening of jazz, pop, parody and Broadway hits through original arrangements of classics that have critics hailing Mann as “one of the best male vocalists in the world.”

Mann’s debut album, “Roads” rose to #1 on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart and appeared on the Billboard Top 200 and iTunes charts. His sophomore release, “Constellation,” followed suit, also topping the charts.

Mann gained a global audience with his 2012 post Super Bowl XLVI performance on NBC’s “The Voice” which was watched by a record-breaking 37.6 million viewers. Mann then starred in his own concert and holiday TV specials for PBS and ultimately toured to sold-out audiences across North America, Mexico and Asia.

Mann was personally cast by Sir Cameron Mackintosh and Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber as The Phantom in “The Phantom of the Opera”’s 25th anniversary tour in 2015. For two years Mann donned the iconic mask for over 700 shows. During his career, he has performed with the National Symphony Orchestra for U.S. President Barack Obama, headlined at The John F. Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., and sang in New York City’s famed Christmas in Rockefeller Center concert. He also starred in his own symphony tour across the United States.
