Three Westminster College School of Music students will perform their senior capstone recitals on Saturday, April 26 and Sunday, April 27.
Violinist Amber Cepec will perform her recital at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 26, at Wallace Memorial Chapel. Her performance will highlight pieces by Bach, Mozart, Beethoven and John Williams and feature Scottish fiddling. She will be accompanied by Dr. Chen-Fang Hsu on piano. Cepec is an accounting and music in business major from Freeport, Pa.
Shawn Redmond, a woodwinds performer from New Castle, Pa., will complete his senior capstone performance at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 26, in the Will W. Orr Auditorium. Redmond will perform works by Britten, Hindesmith, Saint-Saens, Maslanka and others. One piece, "Mysterious Creatures," was composed by Westminster alumnus Peyton Aujay ’24 specifically for this recital. Each movement is designed to be performed on several instruments. Redmond will be playing oboe, flute, clarinet, alto saxophone, baritone saxophone and English horn. Accompanying Redmond will be Ryan Shaw '26 on marimba and Dr. Chen-Fang Hsu on piano. Redmond is an instrumental performance major.
Shelby Pocono, a clarinet player from Dallas, Pa., will perform her recital at 11 a.m. Sunday, April 27, at Wallace Memorial Chapel. Accompanied by Dr. Chen-Fang Hsu on piano, she will perform works by Brahms, Saint-Saens, Copland and more. Pocono is a music education and instrument performance major.
