Westminster College announces several personal enrichment and leisure courses for community residents. Continuing Education classes and seminars are non-credit and are open to all interested individuals. Formal admission to Westminster College is not required.
Dr. Linda P. Domanski, assistant professor of education at Westminster College, was included in the sixth edition of Who's Who Among America's Teachers 2000.
Westminster College President Emeritus Dr. Oscar E. Remick, will be honored posthumously with the Distinguished Public Service Award by the National Assembly of State Arts Agencies (NASAA) in October.




Westminster College will award Alumni Citations to Judge George "Tookie" James, Dr. Paul Musser and Mrs. Margaret Newcomb Musser, and Dr. Timothy W. Schenz. Robert C. Jackson will receive the Outstanding Young Alumni Award at the annual Citation Celebration Reception and Dinner Friday, Oct. 20, at 6:30 p.m. in the Witherspoon Rooms of the McKelvey Campus Center.

Huang Xiang, contemporary Chinese poet, will read his poetry at Westminster College as part of the Heinz Lecture Series Monday, May 7, at 7 p.m. in Mueller Theater of the McKelvey Campus Center.
The Westminster College Drinko Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning has awarded grants to eight students to continue their undergraduate research and to present their work at the Midwest Model UN Conference to be held Feb. 13-16 in St. Louis.
U.S. Congressman Jason Altmire of the 4th District of Pennsylvania will speak and answer questions at Westminster College Monday, Oct. 6, 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., in the Berlin Lounge of the McKelvey Campus Center. The visit , originally scheduled for Oct. 3, was rescheduled due to the House vote on the financial bailout.
Eleven Westminster College French and Spanish majors will give their capstone presentations in the Witherspoon Maple Room of the McKelvey Campus Center. The presentations are free and open to the public.

The Corporation for National and Community Service honored Westminster College with a place on the 2009 President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll with Distinction for exemplary service efforts and service to America's communities.
Westminster College admissions staff will visit local high schools the weeks of Nov. 1 and 8.
